Draws have been commonplace for the Waunakee boys’ soccer team so far in 2022.

The Warriors won their first match of the season on Tuesday, Aug. 30, as they whipped Stoughton 5-1 in a Badger East Conference clash.

Overall, Waunakee has three ties this season, after starting off the year with 1-1 draws against Oregon and Milton.

Inclement weather on Saturday disrupted the Waunakee Tournament, but defeated Middleton’s varsity reserve 3-1 and played Eau Claire North to a 1-1 draw in regulation. However, the latter match was decided on a shootout, as Waunakee edged North 3-2, leaving the Warriors with a 3-0-2 record.
